Partners

To advance our vital mission, the Boston Bulldogs Running Club relies on the generosity and close collaboration of various institutions and non profit organizations including:

Bournewood Health Systems

As a leader in the clinical community dedicated to providing compassionate psychiatric and substance use treatment services, Bournewood has long been a supporter of the Boston Bulldogs. They are a lead sponsor of our annual Run for Recovery and an advocate and resource for our wellness programs.

Inner City Weightlifting (ICW)

ICW is a nonprofit with a mission to amplify the voice and agency of people who have been most impacted by systemic racism and mass incarceration. ICW is not a typical gym. It’s a culture and community in which power dynamics are flipped, social capital is bridged, and new leaders emerge in the fight to combat long-standing inequities.

Mayor’s Office of Recovery Services

The Mayor’s Office of Recovery Services supports substance use disorder and addiction recovery strategies in Boston, working to give more people access to the support they need. The office also builds key partnerships with city, state, and community partners. Individuals, friends, or family members can receive support from them by calling 311 or 617-635-4500.

NamaStay Sober

NamaStay Sober aids those in recovery by reconnecting their bodies and minds through affordable yoga, fitness, meditation and wellness-focused community events. Participants are supported in their efforts to develop new, healthy lifestyles.

The Phoenix Gym

The Phoenix Gym uses experiential activities such as rock climbing, boxing, strength training and yoga to help participants build confidence and find the support they need to live fulfilling lives in recovery. The Gym has served as a hub of recovery, offering free fitness classes; and space to partner with complimentary organizations. All Phoenix events are free to individuals with at least 48 hours of continuous sobriety and are led by certified instructors who are peers in recovery.

Road Runners Club of America

The Road Runners Club of America is the largest distance running organization in the U.S. with over 2500 member clubs and events representing millions of runners. The Boston Bulldogs Running Club originally formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit through the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) and relies on it for coach training certification, Junior Bulldogs curriculum materials, and race insurance.
