Saucony Awards $9,000 Grant to Boston Bulldogs and Italian Home for Children for Junior Bulldogs Program

We’re excited to share that the Boston Bulldogs Running Club and the Italian Home for Children have been awarded a $9,000 grant from the Saucony Run for Good Foundation to relaunch our Junior Bulldogs Running Group partnership. This 5-week program will serve youth ages 7–14 who have experienced trauma, using running and wellness as tools to build resilience, confidence, and connection. Each week, participants will take part in guided runs, while also learning about nutrition, mental health, and healthy coping strategies, all in a supportive and encouraging environment. Through this program, we aim to help kids discover their strength, build community, and develop skills that can last a lifetime. We’re especially excited that participants will work toward joining us at the Boston Bulldogs Run for Recovery 5K this May at Franklin Park – an experience that will celebrate perseverance, community, and hope. Huge thank you to Saucony Run for Good for making this possible and helping us continue to use running and wellness to change lives for the better đź’™

Boston Bulldogs Earn State Earmark

Huge News for the Boston Bulldogs Community!We are incredibly grateful to MA State Senator Mike Rush and MA State Representative Paul McMurtry for their unwavering support in helping the Boston Bulldogs Running Club secure a $25,000 state earmark!This journey began on June 12th when Executive Director Dr. Jim Keane, Board member Dr. Susan Whitfield-Gabrieli, and Director of Programs and Outreach Meaghan Langlois presented at the Massachusetts State House to state legislators on the vital role that running, wellness, and community play in the recovery process.On Sunday in West Roxbury, Senator Rush and Representative McMurtry officially presented the check to Jim Keane who accepted on behalf of the Club. These funds will directly support:- Our weekly runs across all chapters- Vital outreach to area sober living homes, shelters, hospitals, and jails- Our Junior Bulldogs programs for at-risk youth- With over 650 members in chapters across Chestnut Hill, Quincy, Plymouth, and Worcester, the Boston Bulldogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe, supportive community for individuals in recovery, their families, and their allies.Thank you, Senator Rush, Representative McMurtry, and legislators throughout the Commonwealth for supporting our mission of hope and wellness!
